V4 is a Cross-Platform MMORPG. Make sure to read my first two posts on V4, here and here. Now, it’s time for my end game non-p2w review.
The game has provided enough free rewards / events to help progress the game without adding the need to buy progressive items like more pets or companions. My combat power is over 100k without spending over $10; most of my in-game currency came from selling items on the trading post.
The game’s end game is mostly focus around killing Region Bosses, the Abyss, any events that provides extra pets, companions or mounts, enchanting/obtaining gear, and crafting.
To start, the Region bosses are a great addition to the game, tons of players all wanting to do them for rewards. I do believe the rewards could be a little better for those who are not in the top 3. Region Bosses spawn super late for someone on East Coast or EST. Sometimes it’s near impossible to even be online sometimes at 12 or 1 am.
Next, the Abyss is a neat idea, farming enchant scrolls, magic books and spell books. The Abyss is a limited time zone that provides spellbooks, magic books and enhance scrolls.
In the Demon Conquests you can obtain gold, EXP and bigger drops. The drops are focused around accessories and are based on Combat Power that you attempt to do. The great thing about the Demon Conquests is that you can auto repeat a specific level depending on how many attempts you have available.
Completing the story provides you with Epic gear. Completing the monthly provides a single random piece of Epic gear. The monthly isn’t hard to complete, I was able to finish it within a week. Ideally, you can finish the weekly on multiple alts for the major reward of Epic gear. My suggestion is to invest into crafting and gathering.
V4 craft system is pretty straight forward. The downside is that you need 50 pieces of a specific item to craft one of the material needed. Companions are introduced into the game to help with AFK playing. Companions like pets/mounts have types (normal, fine, rare, and epic), higher the type higher they can farm. The biggest thing here is that you can apply multiple companions into one section farm! This is a great feature to have and makes crafting a little more reasonable.
V4’s ability to play Cross-Platform on mobile and PC has been a real game changer. V4 provides the basics and adds to them a slight bit by being Cross-Platform. As an MMO, V4 doesn’t bring anything new to the table. They did bring us an MMO we all seem to desperately want. I highly recommend the game to anyone looking for a new MMO.
