Looking for a new MMORPG? Me too! Elyon will be having a closed beta starting May 6 to May 10. Elyon is an upcoming MMORPG made by BLUEHOLE and published by Kakaogames. What can we expect from the Elyon Closed Beta?
First up, the game build will be a copy of January 27th patch based on the Korean service. This build will have some minor changes to visuals and game content that has been removed. The goal of using such an older build is to help test their systems and ensure they are ready for release. They have stated that their goal is to be as close as possible to the Korean version of the game at launch.
Second, based on the game guide that they have released, we will be able to test pretty much everything out of the gate. This includes Realm War, Clan War, Dimensional Portal, Mana Awakening, Runestones/Rune Attributes, Hall of Honor (PvP), Raid Bosses, and Dungeons. One thing I’m most excited about is the Hall of Honor. I absolutely love 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 PvP.
What not to expect from the Elyon Closed Beta?
This closed beta is a copy of the January 27th Korean build and should not be taken as a final build. There will be bugs and crashes, expect the server to crash a couple of times. Do not expect a stable server the whole time, nor expect you will be able to join the game right away on server opening.
We will not have any information on the cash shop this beta. This is still a big concern for most players as so many games turn towards convenience or RNG boxes. I do hope that we will see the shop and what to expect from the shop within the next coming betas. The cash shop is still being revised to avoid the problems with P2W aspects and how the game will be monetized in the future.
