Swords of Legends Online(SOLO) – What’s Next?

Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) is a Chinese MMORPG that, in my opinion, is full of content. You have PvE, PvP, and Life Content (Leisure and Fun), in which, you may be wondering, how is this game any different than the last? Let me being by addressing the fact that you can choose what you want to do. They’ve made it super simple in terms of how I want to play, I’m able to focus just on that without any problems!

Let’s get the bad out of the way. Overall issues with the performance alongside targeting seem not to be super clear when trying to do something using action combat. The game requires an engine upgrade and probably some networking. Content could be explained at a more detailed level to help new players get started. As a reminder, there are always things any and everyone can criticize; it should be taken that these are my opinions.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s dive into SOLO. SOLO has everything broken into parts. You can choose what you want to accomplish, so people like myself (who have kids, busy work life, etc) can just focus on what they want. The cultivation tab makes figuring out what you need to accomplish just easy and simple, nothing complex.

PvE

I love the PvE side of the game because it scales with the number of people in the group. Normally, with PvE, I would like to see more in-depth crafting and farming of dungeons for end-game gear.

In terms of gearing players, nothing seems too hard for those fully 60 or 75 geared. This has slowly made people not want to do any dungeon runs or just altogether skip normal dungeons. One thing is for certain, running with fewer players seems to be TONS easier.

The raid is now live and a lot have completed it. Most have complained about not getting even one item drop while some got 3-4. I will be creating a video tutorial/walkthrough on the raid. Be sure to subscribe on my YouTube.

PvP

Now, PvP has a whole different design to it. First, your character (combat spirit) PvP tier needs to be upgraded to unlock level 60/70 gear. To buy this gear, you are required to use Writ of the Continents. So far, the tier list that I’ve created is as followed:

  • Battle Cry I-IV
  • Dragon Thunder I-IV
  • Crimson Moonlight I-IV
  • Final Lament I-IV

Second, your character’s ranking in 3v3 PvP. You start off in Bronze League at 1000 points, as you progress through league (bronze-silver-gold) lv 70 gear is unlocked for you to purchase. These require Red Maple Seals, in which you can either just use those seals or mix it with Writ of the Continents. The league system goes all the way to Diamond being the top 1%.

What this allows someone like myself to do is I can focus 100% on playing 3v3 PvP and still obtain level 70 PvP gear. By doing just the basics, you will obtain enough Combat Spirit to upgrade your tier to be able to buy level 60 PvP gear. Having the ability to pick what someone likes to do the most is one thing that Swords of Legends Online has done perfectly.

Wrap Up – What’s Next for SOLO?

My next objective is to complete the raid and work towards getting a full level 75 PvE set completed for Tank stats. Along with that, I will be focusing on getting my combat spirit up so that I can work on buying my level 70 PvP set for more 3v3 action!

Swords of Legends Online has tons to offer and I hope to tackle more of the life content in the coming months. What I’ve talked about above is what I’ve experienced, and overall, the game has kept me more than entertain with enough content to last me a while.
