Paragon?
Ever play Paragon? If so, then Predecessor is as close as you will ever get to it! For a Closed Alpha, it’s a solid game. They’ve tweaked some things, and added normal items. Overall, I’m super excited for this game to be released.
I’m excited because it really was a lot of fun. Paragon was one of those game’s that had so much potential but was lost. It’s exciting that people were able to remake Paragon with their own vision.
Here comes Predecessor!
The game is currently still in Alpha and I got to say, they did the marketing perfectly. They provided ton’s of keys to content creators and people who just signed up on their website even just days before it went live. The next step for them will be even better in my opinion and I can’t wait to be part of how Predecessor grows.
What to expect with Predecessor? They’ve added a normal itemset into the game (similar to League of Legends and Smite). They have the basics down, with Fangtooth, Orb Prime and added their basic version of Smite (which is a jungler skill/item).
Predecessor gave us a perfect example of how to rebuild and republish a game we once truly enjoyed. We will have a fun balanced game , where we can once again enjoy playing our favorite characters . It will be a rough start for them, in addition with the need to make new heroes and keep a consistent balance in the game.
Things I would love to see from Predecessor:
- Multiple environmental maps
- Website update – Items / Heroes List
- Patch Notes
- Feedback
- Clearing up animation / skills – some are unclear
- Party mode was weird and not super clear on the UI
- Rank Mode – Competitive mode and seasons with skins
- Tournaments Sponsor/hosted by Predecessor
